OUR APPROACH
Women’s Power Series stands as a model for what happens when generations collaborate, communities unite, and action takes center stage.
Founded in 2022, Women's Power Series was created by mother-daughter team Dayssi Olarte de Kanavos and Sophia Kanavos. As female real-estate developers in the luxury hospitality industry, Dayssi and Sophia wanted to ensure all their properties under management were celebrating International Women's Day.
Our GOAL is to create accessible, affordable, and empowering events that bring women in business together with a unique platform for female professionals across all industries to hear from a variety of successful female entrepreneurs and business executives. Through our events, we aim to foster a sense of community and encourage personal and professional growth amongst our community of women.
Our MISSION is to empower female entrepreneurs and business professionals by creating a platform for women to come together, share their stories, and learn from each other's experiences to help close the gender gap and promote positive change in the business world.
Women's Power Series is focused on supporting, empowering, and elevating women in business in both their professional and personal lives.

This year's program features fireside chats and panels with inspiring women from across industries, including Dr. Barbara Sturm, Yvonne Force Villareal, Mary Alice Stephenson, Kinga Lampert, Fairfax Dorn, Susan Magrino, Phebe Wahl, Jeanne Greenberg and many more!
Our signature half-day business conference brings together a beautiful breakfast curated by the José Andrés Group, access to our female-founded marketplace, and thought-provoking discussions — capped off with a networking reception that leaves attendees inspired, connected, and energized.
We're proud to continue our partnership with the Women of Tomorrow Mentor & Scholarship Program, donating 100% of ticket proceeds to support their mission of empowering young women.

The 4th Annual Women’s Power Breakfast took place on Friday, February 27th at The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach, bringing together influential leaders, founders, executives, and change-makers for a morning of powerful dialogue, meaningful connection, and collective impact. In alignment with the mission of the Women’s Power Series, 100% of ticket proceeds were donated to The Women of Tomorrow Mentorship & Scholarship Program, directly supporting mentorship, education, and opportunity for young women.

On Friday, October 3rd, 2025, the Women’s Power Breakfast NYC made its debut at The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad, marking the first-ever edition of the event in the city. The sold-out morning brought together over 230 inspiring women from across industries for powerful conversations on innovation, wellness, and leadership.
